The New York Times makes mistakes?

after_deadline190sub Geek that I am, one of my favorite blogs is the New York Times’ “After Deadline,” which “examines questions of grammar, usage and style encountered by writers and editors of The Times.” In other words, it’s a roundup of screw-ups that made it into print. Somehow it’s reassuring to know that even the venerable Times errs.

This week’s post is “When Spell-Check Can’t Help,” on “sound-alike mix-ups” such as “gibe” and “jibe,” or “teem” and “team.” Would you have caught these errors?
